How to Start Solo Traveling: Tips to Embrace Traveling Alone

When the three o’clock slump hits at work, do you find yourself daydreaming in your cubicle? Do you imagine yourself […]

Give solo travel a try. If you’re really apprehensive, that’s absolutely understandable – but do it, anyway. Start small. You can do a staycation of sorts – book two nights at a posh hotel in your city and play the tour guide. Go to all the places you either never have time to see or have never visited because you’re a local and wouldn’t typically do the touristy things.

Or go just a little bit outside your comfort zone – to the next big city near yours. You don’t have to take the plunge straight into Paris, Rome, or Barcelona. Just try to dip your toes into the waters and see how it feels. Pack your laptop, a book, and go with a plan for places you want to see during the day.

We’re right here with you to help you make the most of your new adventure. Come take a look at our extensive library of destination guides. We’ll help you plan those activities, scope out the safest places, and encourage you every step of the way. This is your moment – your life – and we hope you’ll take the bull by the horns, whether or not you go as far as Pamplona.
